CONFERENCE IN JESI TITLED: FREIGHT VILLAGES, ECONOMIC GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT.

The conference is organized by Interporto Marche Spa and UIR Association with the participation of key figures of the domestic sector. The opening ceremony of the container terminal area is to follow. The conference titled "Freight Villages, economic growth and development" is scheduled for Sat.21st Nov at 10 a.m. at Interporto Marche headquarters in Jesi The item of the debate is the development of the multimodal transport in Italy Finally, it is time for Marche region to enter a new era of transport system: Interporto Marche will be served by cargo train services and have full multimodal operation activities The milestone event for the start-up of multimodal transport in central Italy was the Interporto Marche railway link to the main Orte-Falconara line. The joint agreement signed by Interporto Marche, FS Logistica (a company of Ferrovie dello Stato group) and the Ancona Sea-port Authority is an achievement made and a commitment to work in partnership for the economic growth of the macro geographic area of Marche, Umbria and Lazio regions. A special attention is paid to the Adriatic Corridor and, in particular, to the Balkans The conference chairman is Mr.Roberto Pesaresi, President of Interporto Marche Spa and UIR Vice-President. The opening ceremony of the container terminal area is scheduled at the end of the conference session at the presence of Regione Marche and Regione Umbria top officials.
