JESI – Another official visit is paid to Interporto Marche top management. The left-wing “Partito Democratico” political party senators Marco Filippi and Marina Magistrelli are members of the Senate 8th permanent Senate Commission on Public works and Communication and were hosted at Interporto Marche headquarters
Senator Marco Filippi, is the referent of Partito Democratico members of the Commission.
They were shown the main features of the infrastructure and they were particularly pleased to hear about the recent co-operation with Ancona Sea-port Authority in order to develop a Marche-based logistics pole with the aim of developing a broader integrated logistic platform to serve the Central Italy area
The main problems of the Italian freight villages, with a specific reference to the multi-modal transport, were outlined by President Roberto Pesaresi, who is also the Vice-President of UIR association of Italian freight villages
Jesi City Council was represented by the the city councillor Mr.Daniele Olivi who illustrated the potentials of the “territorio-snodo” project sponsored by Comune di Jesi
Ms. Manuela Marconi, head of Interporto Marche Engineering Dept, gave an insight of the ongoing works development as well as the plan of building a dedicated cargo rail station to enable the automatic entry of cargo trains into the main Orte-Falconara line in both direction.
