- The Russian Federation Ambassador in Italy visits Interporto Marche company.

Ambassador Alexey Meshkov accompanied by the Honorary Consul, Prof. Armando Ginesi, and the diplomatic delegation staff were guests of Interporto Marche President, Mr. Roberto Pesaresi
The Russian delegation spent a couple of hours at Marche freight village premises to view the ongoing activities and the future development plans
Ambassador Meshkov was pleased to hear that a Customs & Duty service will soon be available at Interporto Marche company as it could encourage future trade increase between Italy and Russian, with a particular boost to the export of local produce and manufacturing products of our territory to the rich Russian market
In addition, the recent MOU signed by Interporto Marche and Ancona Seaport Authority was seen as a further asset of growth for the infrastructure
President Roberto Pesaresi, who is also the Vice-President of UIR association of Italian freight villages, gave an insight of the current situation of the Italian freight villages as well as of the European cargo traffic routes, not just north-south bound but also - and most importantly for the Russian future trade - east-west bound, namely the Lisbona-Kiev European corridor.President Pesaresi thanked Ambassador Meshkov for the kind visit and express his congratulations to Prof.Ginesi for the appointment to Consul Honorary position personally awarded by Ambassador Meshkov.
