An MOU is signed for the manufacturing of regione Marche beet produce by Molise sugar plant
Mr.Paolo Petrini, Vice- Governor of Regione Marche states: “ By virtue of the present agreement, 3 thousand hectares of beets produce can be cropped in Marche region”. Interporto Marche is also involved.An agreement is signed today between Regione Marche Government, the Molise sugar manufacturing plant and the Association of Beet producers to discipline the transfer of Marche region beet produce to Termoli sugar manufacturing plant for the harvest season 2010/2011 and 2011/2012
According to the agreement, Regione Marche Administration will allocate a financial contribution of 350 thousand euros to repay part of the transport costs supported by the Marche beet producers making transports to Termoli plant."Following the reform of the sugar manufacturing sector" – adds Mr.Paolo Petrini, Vice President and Agriculture Councillor of Regione Marche “three are the operating sugar manufacturing plants in Italy. By virtue of the present agreement, 3 thousand hectares of beets produce can be cropped in Marche region and be shipped to Molise region. A part of the transport service will be made by rail following an agreement with Interporto Marche company. This will allow a environment-friendly transport policy
"Our Administration" – adds Mr. Petrini "voted for special subsidies to improve the current economic conditions of farmers who are badly affected by the crisis. Therefore, we believe to use all possible tools to overcome the current dire situation and support the agriculture sector of our region, a very important asset of our economy”.
