The company is to inform as follows

11/02/2010

Following some press articles published on 9thFeb.2010 with regards to Interporto Marche in-house lighting system, the company is to inform as follows.

"We would like to clarify the subject of Interporto Marche in-house lighting system, in reply to a letter addressed by Comune di Jesi on 8th Feb.2010, following Mr.Andrea Boldrini’s official request dated 29th Dec., to have access to the relevant technical documentation
Mr.Boldrini is the Director of A.J.A., an amateurish sky observation centre in Jesi
On 9th Feb. 2010 Interporto Marche Spa made an official reply to the above mentioned request, please click here to view the content of the letter
Let me remind the content of the Regional Law 10/02, as already stated in our letter dated 9th Feb.2010: according to the Regional Law 10/02, it is the City Council to control and assess the public lightning full compliance to the Law
Therefore, I do not understand why the director of a local sky observation centre has made an official request to view the technical data of Interporto Marche lighting system. The company has rejected the access.

The following facts are useful to understand the case: 1) The outdoor lighting system of the Interporto Marche premises is built according to two different authorization papers: - 1° Lot construction plan: PdC issued on 25thFeb.2002 (based on 1997 project); - Expansion of 1° Lot construction plan: PdC issued on 9thJan.2004;

2) The outdoor lighting system of Interporto Marche is made up of: - street lampposts along the service lane linking the future SS76 road access: those lights are installed following the PdC authorization papers issued on 25thFeb.2002; - high mast lighting system is serving the parking spaces and the in-house road system: they are installed following the PdC authorization papers issued on 25thFeb.2002 as well as the PdC authorization issued on 9thJan.2004.

As a result, the lighting system installed by the PdC authorization papers issued on 25thFeb.2002 is not subject to the observation of the Regional Law 10/02 as far as the project planning is concerned
The lighting system installed by PdC authorization issued on 9thJan.2004 is subject to the observation of the Regional Law 10/02 and its full compliance is certified by the manufacturing company declaration
Besides, the flood lights of high mast lighting authorized by PdC issued on 25thFeb.2002 are the same as the ones installed by PdC authorization issued on 9thJan.2004: as a result, both flood lights are fully compliant to the Regional Law 10/02, although not required in one case
Furthermore, it must be said that the entire outdoor lighting system is managed by a luminous flux regulator linked to a crepuscolar sensor and timer device to optimize the energy consumption and the light supply
Interporto Marche company is committed to energy saving and environment-friendly policy making
In particular, the Company has recently called for bids to build photovoltaic technology systems for self-consumption of energy and also for a self-control lighting system of the headquarters, parking lots and warehouses and the outdoor lighting, if needed
This is a remarkable proof of the Company’s engagement to pursuit an environment-friendly policy in real terms
Let me point out that the AJA director made public statement about Interporto Marche public lighting system. In addition, it has to be reminded that the director had an unauthorized access to the interporto Marche breaking trespassing Law and a security code. Moreover, he disclosed incorrect information when he said that the lighting system outside Interporto Marche premises were under the company’s competence whereas it is property and jurisdiction of Jesi City council
It is clear that the director was neither correctly informed nor was concerned about being well informed about the item of discussion in terms of technical features and the administrative aspects, when Mr.Boldrini made his statement.

I wish that the present note can be useful to understand the matter in order to prevent any further misunderstanding and any mislead conclusion
I invite Jesi Administration to contact me for further details and let me remind that the construction works were approved and certified by three “commissioni di collaudo” (Technical Supervising Boards), two of which are appointed by Ministries and one by Interporto Marche company.
