“You are discovering the excellent infrastructures offered by Marche region to the business community”. This is the opening of the welcome speech addressed to the Machi Holding Group business delegation visiting our region by Mr. Fabio Badiali, Employment and Skills Councillor of Regione Marche Government, and Mr.Lidio Rocchi, Infrastructure Councillor of Regione Marche Government.
The morning meeting is focusing on the Logistic Platform of Marche region made up of Jesi dry bulk port, Falconara airport, Ancona seaport. In the afternoon the delegation is on his way to the south of Marche region, visiting the shoe-making district of Civitanova Marche
“In recent years – Mr.Badiali points out- Marche region witnessed an increase of business quality level thanks to major infrastructure investment plans connecting our region to the main domestic cargo routes: the building of a third lane on the Adriatic motorway, the Quadrilatero road construction plans are the long-awaited answers to promote the growth of Marchigiano manufacturing sector
“We are catching up on time - states Mr.Rocchi- the logistic Platform of Marche Region is the fundamental asset to promote the export trade”
The Chinese delegation, whose chairman is Mr. Xie Bingzhen, was shown the development potentials of the three logistic infrastructures being closed by and easily reached by road and railway, although still under construction. In particular, Jesi dry bulk port has much land available to meet other infrastructures’ building requirements
Jesi dry bulk port is member of UIR, the domestic freight village association and can be a valid international logistic competitor. “Marche region – assert both Councillors – is a good candidate to become a point of reference for the European cargo routes between south and north as well as for the Middle-East destinations”
A clear interest was shown by the Chinese delegation with reference to growth potentials of the cargo traffic handled by Falconara airport and the convert plan of the old airport terminal building into a commercial centre. Councillor Rocchi highlights also the Ancona seaport growth potentials by virtue of the recent investment plan approval made by Regione Marche Parliament
Mr.Roberto Pesaresi, President of Interporto Marche, points out that Jesi drybulk port is one of the members of the domestic drybulk port network and is working nationwide in partnership with the other structures.
