- An in-house customs district to serve Jesi freight village

The agreement is signed between Interporto Marche Spa and the Italian Customs Agency to provide Jesi Freight village with a comprehensive customs service relating to imported and exported goods and services.
Although it might look like an ordinary free Tenancy Agreement, the document signed by Mr.Roberto Pesaresi, president of Interporto Marche Spa and Ms.Lucia Spano, pro-tempore director of Ancona branch office of the national Customs Agency, is a fundamental step to reach Jesi freight village full operation level.
The Customs Agency will have a dedicated in-house desk charged with the responsibility of overseeing and enforcing governmental laws relating to imported and exported goods and services on transit by rail freight or lorry cargo. Jesi freight village customs bureau will handle all processes and procedures in-house: a number of offices, a warehouse and a specific parking lot are reserved to the customs department
The agreement is therefore an important asset not only to provide customers a swift customs service but also for its symbolic meaning,“The signature of this agreement shows the growing interest paid by all institutions towards our infrastructure and our work – declares President Pesaresi
A clear example is given by the recent warm invitation made by the new President of Ancona Chamber of Commerce, Mr.Rodolfo Giampieri, addressed to the business community in order to value the MOU signed by Jesi drybulk port and Ancona sea-port to promote the multi-modal transport development in our territory. Much work is also under way by the local institutions. The recent agreement signed by Ms.Spano is a further important step of business far-sightedness and I would like to thank Ms.Spano for the collaboration shown.The opportunity of having an in-house Customs Agency is one of the reasons why the Ancona Honorary Consulate of the Russian Federation chose to move its office to Interporto Marche last 16th Feb. Having a bureau of customs on premises will easy and speed up all Russia in-bound and out-bound goods and services.
