26/05/2010

JESI – Regione Marche Transports Councillor, Mr.Luigi Viventi, pays his first visit to Interporto Marche company to meet President Roberto Pesaresi and his staff.

Mr.Viventi is given an insight of the ongoing projects and the investment plans laying ahead
A specific attention is paid to the opening of the container terminal area and its link to the main Orte-Falconara rail line. The first cargo train leaving Interporto Marche premises marked the start-up of the multi-mode transport activities and this is a milestone event for our local economy
Another item of talks is the end of the 20millions worth construction works made by Anas, the leading road-building construction contractor in Italy- of a dedicated access to Interporto Marche infrastructure from the national route SS76. The single access point is equipped with an access-control system for safety & security purposes as well as for the speed up of transport operations
Both Mr.Viventi and Mr.Pesaresi are pleased to rely on the strong partnership with the Regione Umbria Administration which strongly believes in the business potentials of Interporto Marche infrastructure: in a number of occasions Regione Umbria Administration decision making on transport sector took into account the key role played by Interporto Marche
Another tackled topic is the “sound co-operation with Mr. Luciano Canepa, President of Ancona Sea-port Authority” marked, above all, by the signature of the Memorandum of Understanding aiming at the improvement of the competitiveness level of the sea-port and dry-bulk port integrated system and therefore, the logistic platform competitiveness of central Italy
Positive comments are expressed with regards to the credits Interporto Marche is nowadays being given nationwide and within the UIR association of Italian freight villages. Mr.Roberto Pesaresi is UIR Vice-President with special delegation to the Legislation Review and the relation between UIR and Central Government-Regional Government
“I acknowledge the excellent job made by President Pesaresi in these years –says Councillor Viventi- and the future plans that lay ahead with specific reference to the fruitful relations with Ancona sea-port Authority that are to boost the multi-mode transport system and rail/road transport in our region”
“Furthermore –he adds- the recent elected Regione Marche Government confirms its strong commitment to support Interporto Marche freight village development potentials being one of the key infrastructures of our region. A great attention is also paid to RFI company decision to build a cargo hub in the nearby Interporto Marche premises, in compliance with a comprehensive project of by-passing the city of Falconara. This project is financed by the Ministry of Infrastructures with a 210million euros allocation”
“Let me thank Mr. Viventi for his attention shown to our company – declared Mr. Roberto Pesaresi – we are pleased to have him visit us at the very beginning of his mandate. This visit gives him a view of the already accomplished works, the container terminal operation activities and the warehouse working at full speed as well as the company programmes and future plans we are working on”
This is and will be a public company -underlines Mr.Roberto Pesaresi-whose majority shareholder is Regione Marche.
